The Stieber freewheel ASNU 60 is a roller-type freewheel, non-bearing supported, designed for high torque and precision applications. This unit offers a maximum torque of 1825 Nm, supports overrunning speeds of 750 RPM (inner race) and 1050 RPM (outer race), and has a drag torque of 110 Ncm.

The ASNU type is non-bearing supported, which means that external bearings must be provided to support axial and radial loads. Likewise, lubrication and sealing must be arranged by the installation. The nominal outer diameter corresponds to a 63-series ball bearing, simplifying integration with existing designs.

The inner race is keyed to the shaft, while the outer race features a positive n6 tolerance for press fit into an H7 housing. Additional side notches in the outer race enable secure torque transmission. If the housing is machined to K6 tolerance, the notches are not required, but the housing must be strong enough to avoid expansion after assembly.
